Once Upon a Time in Storybrooke

Richmond’s Steveston, an historic fishing town, plays the part of Storybrooke in ABC’s hit TV show Once Upon a Time (2011-2018). If you’re a fan, you can stop by the seasonal Tourism Richmond Visitor Kiosk in Steveston, open from July-September (hours tbd), located on Bayview Street and pick up a Once Upon a Time walking map. Follow stars’, such as Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin), Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan), and Lana Parrilla (Regina Mills), footsteps to featured buildings and sites. Much of the filming took place on Moncton Street.

This fantasy adventure drama shifts between two realities, a fantastical world and the seaside town of Storybrooke, Maine. Henry (Jared S. Gilmore), the main character, finds out that the townspeople are actually fairy-tale characters (spoiler alert: the mayor is an evil queen!). The series explores the backstories and magic of the characters and both worlds.
