Non-Alcoholic

Anaf Club 284 (105 – 11900 No. 1 Road) has created a virgin Away in the Manger Margarita cocktail from de-alcoholised wine, lime and mulling spice syrup that is flavoured with orange and cranberry. With a pub grub menu and regular live events, this veterans’ organization bar welcomes members and non-members.

Anar Restaurant (12051 Third Avenue) is always warm and friendly. And for Steveston Sips, they’re serving a refreshing Sharbat––Persian lemonade made with rose water and chia seeds. It’s a great accompaniment to a feast-like menu that includes their slow-cooked lamb shank favourite, Baghali Polo Ba Gosht.

But their Steveston Sips creation makes them even more inviting. Salted Caramel Mocha is a delicious choco-coffee-salty elixir that will soon have you coming back for more.

Alcoholic

Buck & Ear (12111 Third Avenue) is a popular neighbourhood pub. And alongside their comfort food menu (Loaded Steak Sandwich recommended), they’ve created a tasty Under The Mistletoe cocktail. Fashioned from Olmeca Blanco tequila, triple sec, pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, fresh lime juice and simple syrup, it’s served in a half-sugar-rimmed glass.

Blue Canoe Restaurant (140 – 3866 Bayview Street) is a magnet for seafood lovers––don’t miss their winter-warming chowder. But for Steveston Sips, they’re serving a White Christmas Margarita crafted from premium tequila, triple sec, white cranberry juice and coconut––along with cranberries and a cinnamon rim.

Britannia Brewing (250 – 12240 Second Avenue) is loved for its craft beer creations and menu of mussels, salmon burgers, brunch specialties and more. For Steveston Sips, they’re offering two libations: a hearty Belgian Cherry Blonde Ale––made with Belgian yeast and Okanagan cherries––and a Coconut Christmas cocktail that promises to fuse creaminess with a touch of festive flair!

Five Roads Brewing Co. (130 – 12251 No. 1 Road) is a great nook for cozy cold-season quaffing. Try their own-made beers alongside small plates such as tacos and charcuterie or dive straight into their Steveston Sips cocktail: Southside Fizz. It’s fashioned from B.C.-made Empress gin plus lemon, simple syrup and elderflower tonic and it’s garnished with a grapefruit wedge.

Goodco Steveston (4020 Bayview Street) has a sports bar vibe, comfort food menu (Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich recommended) and extensive beverage options. But their Naughty or Spiced cocktail is a winter-warming winner. Its delicious ingredients include rosemary citrus punch, hints of warm vanilla, brown sugar and toasted spice.

Little Mexico Cantina (3131 Chatham Street) might make you consider a balmy Cancún vacation. But it’s almost as warming to find a table here and tuck into some top-notch tacos, fajitas and more. Need extra heat? Add a luscious 1921 La Crema, an amazing libation made with hot, creamy tequila.

O’Hare’s Gastropub (5031 Steveston Highway) specializes in hearty, cold-busting dishes (Steak & Guinness Pie recommended). But for Steveston Sips, they’ve added a hot libation to their craft beers and B.C. wines. Village Salted Caramel Coffee combines Wayne Gretzky Salted Caramel Cream Liqueur and gourmet coffee topped with decadent whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Shady Island Seafood Bar & Grill (112 – 3800 Bayview Street) is at Fisherman’s Wharf and it serves a hearty menu of pasta dishes, Thai specialties and fish and chips. For Steveston Sips, they’re also offering a CranMerry Lemontini. Made with vodka, lemon juice, house-made cranberry compote and garnished with cranberries, it’s also available in a non-alcoholic version.

Steveston Built (130 – 12480 No. 1 Road) is a taphouse where comfort food combines with multitudinous beer and wine options. But for Steveston Sips, don’t miss their Built Hot Toddy.
