Mylora Executive Golf Course

Overview

Established in 1976, Mylora was originally made up of vast farmland, which was then purchased by the Harrison family. The Harrisons transformed the farmland into Mylora Executive Golf Course, which has now been in operation for over 40 years.

The course is in Richmond, BC, at 9911, Sidaway Road. What makes Mylora particularly special is it’s shorter than standard golf courses. The 57-par course is 3100 yards, making it an excellent choice for players running on a reduced time frame.

The golf course is an all-time favourite with locals and visitors, and a popular spot for senior golfers. For those who may not own any golfing equipment, Mylora provides all the essentials – golf clubs, pull carts, and more – for players to rent upon arrival. Mylora also houses a Full-Service Pro shop that sells golf shoes, clothing, and club regripping.

Leagues

Mylora offers a plethora of leagues to join – tailored to those who enjoy playing on a consistent and weekly basis. The course’s leagues cater to various age groups and player types, and all members receive a special rate once they join.

During the weekdays, Mylora offers its Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Ladies leagues, with each league tailoring to all skill levels, and providing a variety of golf tournaments, and meetings. Additionally, Mylora offers a mixed league for those ages 55+. The Business Ladies league meets every Saturday and is perfect for players who may run on a busier work schedule.

When speaking with Mylora’s Director of Operations, Scott Wilson, he explained how the club wanted to encourage more young female players to join. With this idea in mind, he organized the Female Drivers league, which caters to non-competitive and beginner female golfers looking for a relaxing and stress-free tee time. Scott Wilson noted that since launching the Female Drivers league, it has received immense success and gained 120 players in just over one year of launching.
